I've been very busy this summer and can't wait to get back to having time for posting on the Brave Knight.
November's Madness
It was a glorious day to hike on Glacier Ridge. We walked through a stand of pine on a bed of dried needles as thin streaks of sun illuminated swatches here and there. The tranquility, warmth and order of God's forest calmed the heart. We looked down on a recently harvested field to watch wild turkey feed as a woodpecker tapped a distance tree. Deer lifted their heads while chewing, paused, then continued to feast without alarm as we passed. This time of year, with the leaves fallen, Glacier Ridge offers a panoramic view of a many fingered glacier lake that fills the lower valleys, I am reminded of beloved Scotland with the view Ben Nevis offers of lochs and the bay of Fort William.
Brave Knights may now only exist in fairytales.
Good night America
Rest in Peace
For tyranny is the next phase.
YellowStone Buffalo "Blaaaaaa!"
"On the Road" has been made into a movie. How cool is that ? Jack is back, the bible of the beat
generation.

Life moves on so quickly, here are some shots from Yellowstone in '08. Wow, four years have passed. That first buffalo was in a rage.
This happens to be the best side of a mad buffalo.
It was mating season and I watched a few bulls sweet talking their ladies with a loud "BLAAA BLAAA!" in the ear. You had to be there.
Gand Canyon of the Yellowstone.
Hey, it's the twenty first century, my premise may be all out of whack to a literary critic.
I love buffalo and sunsets. This weekend did not afford me time to paint so I'm offering these photos for your enjoyment. This site is not supposed to be about me, notice that my name appears no where. All should appreciate the love of those around you. We are all in this human condition together, that message seems so hard to convey---why is that ? Thank you all for following this blog. I have been overwhelmed by the support I have recieved from strangers as far away as Russia, the Ukraine and Germany. We are one community and in my distant travels I have often found it easier to connect with people in foriegn lands than within my own family. My hopes are that others will contribute to my blog and my effort to offer enjoyment. Be free in your heart and be a brave knight.
Farm living.
Today I took a test to be a State Emergency Response Coordinator, whew tough. Then I came home and burned off one of my fields. My carbon footprint went over the top contributing significantly to global warming. Luckily none of my Emergency Response skills were needed and I maintained a controlled burn. The tick population has been greatly reduced and MR Duck wasted no time ushering the chickens into the charred sections of field to munch on fried critters. Farm livin' is the life for me.
The old Harley puked oil all over the floor when I fired it up this morning, a stuck valve is the problem. It will be fixed in the morning.
The old sports car, a 1964 Sunbeam has hydralic clutch troubles. I removed the master and slave cylinders for rebuild.
Getting ready for summer is a lot of work.
That said, I didn't have time to paint today.
As for me I have been building a new garden entry tool house and chicken coop. I took a job with the State DCNR at a park near home. Most of the employees
believe the acronym stands for Don't Care Not Responsible----after all we are government employees. My job classification is Semi-skilled although most of my fellow workers say Semi-thrilled. How many castle dwellers do you know would become a butt picker for the summer ? In one day I filled a five gallon bucket with discarded cigarette buns on the beach.
It has been a lot of fun and I must say picking up cigarette butts on the beach has a satisfying reward. Looking down at a pristine beach that had been marred by tiny little pieces of cigarettes discarded by an unappreciative public made me feel like I won a piece of America back from the welfare crowd, you know the 50 % ers that pay no taxes but reap all the benefits of the middle class tax victims. Motherhood is alive and well, I have lost count of the soiled diapers I removed from picnic tables. I am sure the women who left them will do a great job of raising the next generation of lazy handout takers. It only makes sense that the government should clean up after the people it feeds.
Soon I will be laid off and placed on the dole, free at last to post here.
Take the above with tongue in cheek, I love the park it's just a shame they let humanoids in. Today some one started placing the severed heads of animals in the restrooms. One restroom had a butchered snake in it. So many strange things take place in the park that I'm thinking about writing a story about it, I'm going to call it "Butt picker in Paradise" or something like that.
