Chester, a truly brave knight and inspiration.

A Brave Knight- Chester

He was there, every Wednesday and Saturday morning during the fall. He arrived at 6:30 a.m. and stayed until all of the goods were sold, or until market ended at 12 noon. He dispensed smiles and jokes, enquiring after the welfare of everyone. The customers may have been distracted, or arguing, or simply self-centered. But most responded, and they were the fortunate ones. They saw that his smile extended into his bright blue eyes. They returned weekly, after they discovered that his cider was delicious. He had a secret recipe, and the fruit that went into his cider was always clean. Why did he always choose to be such a positive force in his little sphere of influence? He knew that whether he chose to be positive or negative, he was going to be in constant pain, and have constant impediments in every aspect of his life. Being negative could not change the fact that he was paralyzed, a paraplegic. Being positive maintained the fact that he made a difference in his world. He was a brave knight as he faced his opponent- the struggle of daily life.
